Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

• Shop information — shop domain, shop ID, plan, country, currency, and timezone, used to configure timers for your store.
• Products & collections — product titles, variants, tags, images, and collection membership, so you can target timers to specific products or collections.
• Themes — theme metadata required to install timer app embeds, theme app blocks, and script-based integrations.
• Script tags & assets — to inject the countdown timer front-end code into your storefront.

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:

• Merchant contact details — information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, email address, and billing information associated with your Shopify account.
• Storefront visitor information — information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, geolocation (at the country/region level for geo-targeting), referring page, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device.
• App usage analytics — aggregated counts of timer impressions, clicks, and conversions, used to provide performance reporting inside the App.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

• Communicate with you about your account and the App;
• Optimize or improve the App and its performance;
• Render countdown timers and related merchandising elements on your storefront, including geo-targeted, URL-based, and tag-based targeting;
• Provide in-app analytics so you can measure the effectiveness of timer campaigns;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity involving the App.

We do not use your Personal Information or your customers’ Personal Information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell Personal Information to third parties.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers who help us provide the Service, as described above. For example:

• Shopify — we rely on Shopify’s APIs, webhooks, and billing infrastructure to deliver the Service. See Shopify’s Privacy Policy.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers — to host our application, database, and storage.
• Analytics & error-monitoring tools — to understand how the App is used and to detect errors.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you install the App), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you install the App, we will maintain your shop and configuration information for our records until you uninstall the App or request deletion. Upon uninstallation, shop-level data is retained for up to 48 hours to support re-installation, after which it is removed in accordance with Shopify’s mandatory shop/redact and customers/redact webhooks. Storefront visitor data collected for timer display is not retained beyond what is needed to render the timer.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
